"Before I made my confirmation I didn't have much of a relationship with God. When I made my confirmation I spent time going to retreats, sessions, and doing service all through BOLD which really started and built my relationship with God. The retreats were my favorite because we played fun games and spending time with God in adoration was and still is very calming and spiritual to me. With the PST during my confirmation years helping to guide me I realized that I wanted to give other people the same experience I got from BOLD and I joined the PST after confirmation. Not only has it brought me closer to God and strengthened my faith but BOLD and the PST have been a safe and calming place to be on stressful weekdays and I am thankful for the friends I've made and the TNLs and the retreats that I've all gotten all from BOLD."

“I've been a part of BOLD youth ministry since it was first brought to St. Anne several years ago. I had been looking for ways to get more involved with my faith, and knew from the moment I saw the announcement that it would be a great opportunity to do so. I still remember having an interview with our first youth minister weeks prior to BOLD's official start, learning what the ministry would offer and explaining why I wanted to be a part of it.
The wonderful thing about BOLD is that it creates an environment that fosters conversation, true growth in the faith, and friendship. Whether it's engaging the middle school and high school students in deep, faith centered discussion or simply playing a game, we encourage the kids to speak their minds, ask questions, and have fun with it all in the process. I love the moments in which those who may seem shy and uncertain at the start of our TNLs open up, connect with others, and leave with a smile on their face.
My hope for every person who walks through the door of our room is that they will come out of the experience with a deeper understanding of the Catholic faith and the knowledge that they are truly and fully loved by God. From the amazing fall retreat, to snow tubing, to Six Flags, BOLD has given our kids, teens, and myself countless opportunities to grow closer to our Lord and each other.”
